The George & Dragon is a privately owned pub offering an excellent choice of food and drink. Our pub is at the heart of Thurton village in Norfolk and right next door to the Dragon’s Den glamping site, making it the perfect venue for a lunchtime or evening meal on your holidays.
The George and Dragon is steeped in history with parts of the pub dating back to the fifteenth century. The pub is full of traditional Norfolk character from its original beams to its Inglenook fireplace for those cosy Autumn/Winter nights.
Renowned locally for our food, the George and Dragon team pride ourselves in the excellent cuisine we offer. Prime locally sourced ingredients are essential to make the traditional homemade pub food we serve, including the Sunday Roasts which we are famous for locally. Vegetarians aren’t left out either, with a good selection of vegetable dishes to choose from we’re the ideal destination for all the family.
Let’s not forgot those special occasions! We have our function area at The Dragon Bar in the Barn where we can host any kind of event, from weddings and birthdays to Christmas parties and more, we have you covered. With its built in projection services, this area is also a great place for business meetings, courses and talks.
